The real Microfiber is a blend of polyester and polyamide fiber that is used to make fabric. Polyester has an electrostatic effect that helps it capture and retain dust, while polyamide fiber helps remove dirt and de-grease the surface, thanks to its absorption power.

The fiber is split above 100 times finer than a human hair. This makes it a superior tool for cleaning and germ removal because it is able to penetrate cracks and crevasses that cotton mops or other textile mops are not able to reach. The increased surface area of the fibers and their wedge shape also allow them to absorb up to 6 to 8 times their weight in liquid.
